Bahrain’s Distinguished Participation at ITB Berlin 2023

The Kingdom of Bahrain marked a resounding presence at the ITB Berlin International Tourism Exchange, the world’s largest and most important travel and tourism trade show being held in the German capital between March 7 to 9. This forms part of the Kingdom’s redoubled efforts towards enhancing its international tourism standing while promoting its particular brand of authenticity seamlessly fused with modernity.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority led the Kingdom’s participation with a national pavilion that included 12 of the country’s top hotels, destination management companies, and hospitality entities in addition to representatives from the private sector. It stood out as an active platform through which major events taking place in Bahrain could be highlighted, such as the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and food festivals besides cultural and artistic experiences emanating from deep-rooted heritage.

Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism, Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi attended a very high power panel discussion called Ministers’ Roundtable with her colleagues from across the Arab world and Europe. This session shared insight on trendiest matters in tourism plus how critical international collaboration is to ensure challenges are turned into opportunities. The minister said that sharing matches Bahrain’s participation with the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, a plan meant for market diversification and enhancement of visitor numbers with specific interest towards the promising German market.

The Bahraini delegation also met with top global travel companies to talk about possible deals and look at new changes in the field — mostly in parts like digital growth and the role of artificial intelligence in making travel better.

Also, the showing put a spotlight on Bahrain’s safe place, smart spot right in the middle of the Arabian Gulf, and deep past going back many years—making it a top pick for guests who want a full trip that mixes culture, fun, and rest.
