Serbian and Bahraini Businesses Forge Stronger Economic Ties
In a significant step toward enhancing bilateral cooperation, more than 25 companies from Serbia and Bahrain convened in Belgrade to explore joint opportunities across a wide range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, IT, food production, automotive, chemicals, construction, finance, transport, and logistics.
A Shared Vision for Strategic Partnership
Mihailo Vesović, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, emphasized Serbia’s competitive, stable, and open economy, describing Bahrain as an ideal partner for long-term collaboration. He reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting Serbian companies in expanding into international markets.
Mohamed Abduljabbar Al-Kooheji, Vice President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, highlighting the importance of direct engagement between business leaders to foster practical agreements and unlock new avenues for cooperation.
Promising Opportunities Across Key Sectors
Both sides acknowledged the vast potential for collaboration and expressed confidence that the Bahraini delegation’s visit to Belgrade would lead to tangible projects and commercial deals. They also stressed the importance of regular business exchanges to build trust and deepen relations.
Investing in Human Capital
Beyond trade and investment, the discussions also touched on education, knowledge exchange, and vocational training. The emphasis on human capital development reflects a shared commitment to sustainable and future-oriented cooperation.
Bahrain: A Gateway to the Gulf
Despite its small geographic size, Bahrain stands out as one of the most open and diversified economies in the Gulf region. Early liberalization and openness to foreign investment have positioned Bahrain as a hub for finance, logistics, IT, and aluminum processing. These strengths are further reinforced by Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which aims to build a sustainable, private-sector-led economy.
Direct Business Talks and Future Prospects
The event featured one-on-one meetings between Serbian and Bahraini companies, enabling them to exchange ideas and discuss potential joint ventures. These conversations are expected to continue and expand during the upcoming Serbian-Bahraini Business Forum, which will bring together an even broader range of stakeholders.
